FAQs

    102. Do I Need Individual Sri Lanka e-Visas for My Family or Group?

Yes, each person accompanying you must obtain a separate Sri Lanka e-Visa, including children and infants. Here’s what you need to know: Individual Applications: Each traveler, regardless of age, must apply separately for an e-Visa or ETA. Even minors need their own e-Visa, though children under 12 are exempt from the processing fee. Exceptions infants under 12 months old may not need a separate e-Visa if they are included in their parent’s passport. However, it’s best to confirm this with the Sri Lankan authorities or embassy. Please visit Sri Lanka visa requirements for children for details. Group Applications: You can apply for multiple people at once, but each person will receive a unique visa. This allows you to manage multiple applications at once. At Sri Lanka Immigration Services, we provide online visa services to help with the application process for your group. Visa Fees: Each applicant must pay the applicable visa fee, except for fee-exempt categories. Required Documents: Ensure each individual has a valid passport with at least six months' validity from the date of entry into Sri Lanka. Other required documents may include proof of onward travel and sufficient funds. By applying separately for each person, you ensure that everyone in your group has the necessary documentation to enter Sri Lanka.
