Citizens of Germany can utilize a simple and quick application process to obtain a visa for Sri Lanka. The Government of Sri Lanka launched an online visa system in 2012, allowing citizens of eligible countries to apply for an e-Visa for short-term visits. This e-Visa is divided into 03 categories with different purposes: tourism, business, and transit.
To get an electronic visa, German passport holders have to fill in a short online form, providing some basic information such as full name, gender, date of birth, passport number. In addition, they also need to possess a passport that remains 06 months validity from the arrival date in Sri Lanka.
