What types of Sri Lanka e-Visa are available?
An e-visa is issued only for Short Visits to Sri Lanka for Business purposes, Tourism, and Transit purposes.
The different types of e-visas in Sri Lanka
- e-Tourist Visa: This visa is intended for those visiting Sri Lanka for tourism purposes, such as sightseeing, visiting friends or relatives, receiving medical treatment, or participating in short-term yoga programs. It is valid for 6 months from the issue date, allows for double entry, and visitors can stay for up to 30 days from the arrival date in Sri Lanka.
- Business e-Visa: Valid for 6 months from the issue date with multiple entries, this type of visa is intended for individuals participating in business-related activities. Holders can stay in Sri Lanka for a maximum of 30 consecutive days from their arrival date, except for employment.
- Transit e-Visa: Valid for 6 months from the issue date with a single entry, this visa is issued for transit purposes. You are permitted a maximum stay of 48 hours at the airport before departing to another country.
