What types of e-Visa are available?
An e-Visa is issued only for Short Visits to Sri Lanka for Business purposes, Tourism and Transit purposes.
The different types of E-visas Sri Lanka
- e-Tourist Visa: This visa is intended for those visiting Sri Lanka for tourism purposes, such as sightseeing, visiting friends or relatives, receiving medical treatment, or participating in short-term yoga programs. Valid for 6 months from the issued date with a double entry and visitors can stay within 30 days from the arrival date in Sri Lanka.
- Business e-Visa: Valid for 6 months from the issued date with multiple entries. This type of visa is for someone who intends to participate in business-related activities. Its holders can remain in Sri Lanka for a maximum of 30 consecutive days from the arrival date in Sri Lanka except for employment.
- Transit e-Visa: Valid for 6 months from the issued date with a single entry. This visa is issued for transit purposes, and you will have a maximum of 48 hours to stay at the airport before departing to another country.
